iPhone TV Remote No Longer A Fantasy

(Source : johnnyhsu1106.blogspot.com)

Since Apple filed a patent for tech that would let you control your home computer with your iPhone or iPod touch, that was neat and all, but the functionality already existed in third-party apps. Now a new app will help iPhones seize control of the home theatre instead of the desktop.

Everything seems can be true since the launching of iPhone or iPod, we can watching TV or movie, playing games, talking to friends (MSN or talking over the phone), online shopping, reading books etc. We even do not need to turn on the computer but only lying on the couch and using the phone in this way.

No wonder some people say that iPhone is making people lazy and harm to our health (always seating or lying). It is because technology to make you lazy. Better technology allows us to become more sedentary, which naturally leads us to be more lazy. Is convenience really worth becoming lazy? The thing to remember is that  the devices made to make life more convenient, not something to rely on, too much of anything is never a good thing.

E-Commerce surges on Alibaba's Taobao Mall in China

Taobao is the most popular Chinese shopping website and also the largest online retail platform where you can find most of the things from food to automobile. Online shopping is not the popular thing today but why Taobao become larger, it is not different to tell. If you try to visit the site, you can find variety of products but surely will find at least some stuff which may suit for you, unless, they are selling at a very cheap price.

It cannot be denied that e-commerce has brought a surge on Taobao, the successful reason where also has brought to many people so much nice surprises, it is definitely will bring you the same. That would mean a whole lot of shopping in cyberspace — and an even bigger headache for employers trying to keep staff from logging on to Taobao to browse for bargains or worse, manage their own little eshopson the side.

Advertisers show interest in iPad

Traditionally, advertisers are used to paying based on the circulation of a print magazine, but for online advertisers, it is based on the number of times their ad is seen online and on mobile devices which is more easily to manage on the circulation. No one knows how popular the iPad will be today.

The important is that iPad is targeted on e-books and publications market. People is reading e-book on iPad is likely to reading a book on hand but it is more convenience since the iPad can store many e-books in it. . No matter how skeptical you may be about reading books online, you can't resist taking an entire library on a plane without adding any weight to your briefcase.

Given all these factors, advertisers have always been among the first to recognize the most important innovations in communications. Now another notable change is upon us.

How American use web for community news

Americans are increasingly using Internet tools to keep informed about what is happening in their communities, according to a new report from the Pew Internet and American Life Project.

(Source : Wallattraction.com)

Staying at home to communicate with outside but no need to go out, it seems to be a common phenomenon in the US now.  It is not surprised for that since the launch of Internet in 80s, people is getting used to do everything at home. For example, we stay in the small downtown, neighbors are around us very closely, in the past (before Internet years), we would hold a meeting regularly to discuss things about the community together. But now, we just need to update or discuss to each other via Twitter, Facebook or official forum.

Some people is saying that Internet brought us far apart but in my opinion, I would say that Internet is the tool to help people more convenience, this is the original purpose of its invention.  Every thing has it both bad and good side, it depends on how the way you use it.

ABC News releases iphone App

Tapping into one of the most popular Apple innovations ever, ABC News Digital today announced a new application for iPhone and iPod Touch users.

Releasing an own application is rising in many industries, whatever fashion (eg. Gucci), watches (eg. Jaeger-LeCoultre), restaurants (eg. McDonalds), government (eg. Information Services Department) and banks (eg. Bank of China) etc. The reason is that many people have changed their practice to use smartphones instead of the general ones.

It is a good ideal to have an application released from the official broadcast organization, people can update any news around them at that moment or even you just want to know how is the weather today. Whenever you are on the bus, having lunch, waiting for their friends etc.

And there is another advantage for some Australians who are far from the country but they can easily be updated by the breaking news alert , simply tapping the app and you will know what happens around in your country now.

The blog and social justice in the Middle East

While blogs everywhere offer people a chance to express their views or opinions in a public and truly global space, in the Middle East they often have a strongly political dimension in that they offer a rare opportunity to speak out against oppressive regimes and religious practices. In my opinion, it is good to see people turning to blogs and other sort of Internet sites to speak out what they think increasingly since they do not find anyone else either listening to them or encouraging them to join the debate.

To develop an own blog is a trend rising in media industry, they could see what people are saying and suggestion left to them, there is a good interaction in between with audience.  It is a hope to see this phenomenon will be appeared in Middle East as well, providing an official way to hear the voices from different people, and trying to keep up with what the public is thinking.
